The Somatic Series is an 8 week exploration into the nervous system with the intention of slowing down, listening and reconnecting with the felt sense of your body, and learning to integrate practices that regulate your experience. It is an interactive group with an emphasis on creating safety and connection within the container of a group. Classes include a combination of discussion, movement, breath work, meditation, co-regulation exercises and somatic education. Anyone is welcome.

Week 1: Nervous System 101

Intro to somatics + Creating a safe container

Week 2: What is What?

Orienting to the body, mind, and environment

​

Week 3: Vagus Nerve Introduction 

Ventral vagal practice to promote calm.

​

Week 4: Resourcing and Working with States of Activation

What goes up must come down.

​

Week 5: Co-Regulation

Creating a foundation of emotional safety and security within our relationships.

 

Week 6 and 7:  Somatic Yoga + Breathwork

Slow movements with attention to inner experience.

 

Week 8: Movement Meditation

Experiencing the body moving from stillness to flow and back.

GROUP

The meditation study group is an immersion into the inner self that is composed of two parts. The first is the seated practice of meditation - learning to sit in stillness and allowing each moment to unfold just as it is. The second component of the group is exploring the nature of the mind by looking at thoughts, habits, beliefs and reactions.
 

The group begins with a 20-30 minute guided meditation and then students are given the opportunity to share their experiences as they relate to our weekly intention. The group supports each other through holding space, listening, sharing and collectively waking up to our shared humanity. It is ideal for those looking for connection, community and a safe space for inner exploration.

 

Limited to 12 students. This ongoing group is currently FULL with a waitlist. If a space opens up, priority is given to students and clients that are working with me individually or have attended any of my classes.
